Copper Pipes

Why are Copper pipes used?

Copper pipe has anti-bacterial properties and can be very durable and has a high resistance to high temperatures, this makes it perfect for use in gas and central heating systems installations.

Typically copper pipe sizes are 8,10,15,22 and 28mm sizes. And this will cover the typical uses in both commercial and domestic buildings.
Of course, we don’t want to need to replace our pipes and pull up floors and decorate all the time, so it is great to know that pipes usually last a lifetime. Sure, a leak or break is possible but very isolated.

The guarantee for British standards marked pipes are 25 years. So you know copper is very durable and luckily people do not need to replace pipes more often.
